What you can expect
Our High Availability Data Centre service is designed to support the most critical business systems; such as real time trading systems or criminal information systems. ‘High Availability’ means something different to just about everyone; further confusion is added by different interpretations of the Uptime Institutes Tier system. It’s quite amazing how many Tier 4 systems are available in the UK. We define what we mean rather than hide behind a label that’s open to misinterpretations.
We prefer to be clear on what customers can expect as a minimum, and customise these levels to meet your specific availability requirements. We can increase design levels to true Tier 4 levels if the application and budget allow.
The way that you need it
For us, High Availability means - as a minimum - a full 2N (physically separate A+B) power distribution system. This will include direct dual connection from a Regional Electricity Companies Bulk Supply Point (BSP), fully separated from supply to the cabinet.
Highly flexible cooling system
Often, High Availability systems are used to support high density computing solutions. Many cooling solutions and types of cooling equipment are available. Infinity's standard 1500W/m2 cooling capacity can be enhanced with dedicated 1MW high density cooling modules to meet client specific cooling requirements (such as spot cooling loads) and unpredictable future cooling demand. Again, customer specific requirements define the detailed cooling design.
Portfolio of solutions
High Availability builds on our base level Corporate specification to deliver a total portfolio of solutions to meet customer needs. These solutions can be combined in a single location to deliver a combination of Corporate and High Availability Data Centres in any scale from 3,000 – 100,000 sq ft. High Availability is available in two security options – Survivable or Secure.
